I have been juried into the 2012 Maker Fair taking place at Seattle Center. From 11:40 to 12:05 I will be demonstrating how to take better portraits with inexpensive and readily available items. Bring your camera and join me This will be a fun and informative presentation then hands on opportunities to snap portraits at this amazing event.

About Maker Faire:
The mission of Maker Faire events is to inspire, inform, connect and entertain thousands of Makers and aspiring Makers of all ages and backgrounds through the public gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkers, hobbyists, science clubs, students, authors and commercial exhibitors. The inaugural Maker Faire was held in San Mateo, CA and in 2011 celebrated its sixth annual Bay Area event with some 100,000 people in attendance. In 2010, Maker Faire expanded to Detroit and New York City.
Community driven, independently produced Mini Maker Faire events inspired by Maker Faire are now being produced around the United States and the world, including Seattle Mini Maker Faire. Maker Faire is supported by MAKE Magazine and O’Reilly Media.
1st Annual I CAN!
Freighthouse Square, Tacoma, WA
March 31st
I participated in the 1st Annual Interactive Community Arts Network (I CAN!) event at Freighthouse Square on Saturday, March 31st. This was a free family-oriented event for the community, by the community, drawing together resources already available within the community.
The goal for producing this event was to help Revitalize Freighthouse Square. In an effort to bring community together at a once-thriving space
I gave a presentation on Demystifying Digital Icons on a digital camera
PLUS I had a solo show in a vendor space turned into the Dayton Knipher Gallery for the month of April
